The Echo Gecko is a fly rod made for kids, with a modest, forgiving action and fun, kid-friendly looks. A small lower grip below the reel seat lets a young angler cast with one hand or two, and the camo-pattern foam grips are sized for small hands.

The 7'9" 5 wt is a full-featured fly rod for young anglers, with the modest, forgiving action Echo builds into every Gecko, and the small lower grip lets them put both hands on the rod when they cast.

Gecko Trout vs Gecko Panfish

Echo makes two Gecko rods. This 7'9" 5 wt Gecko Trout has a yellow blank and handles slightly bigger flies and trout water. What is the warranty?

The Gecko is covered by Echo's lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original owner, when the rod is bought from an authorized dealer. If the rod breaks in normal fishing use, Echo repairs or replaces it for a service fee that varies by model, and the fee is waived if the cause turns out to be a defect.
