Overview
The G. Loomis IMX-PRO V2S is the saltwater side of the IMX-PRO V2 family, launched in 2023 and handcrafted in Woodland, Washington. G. Loomis tuned it for three jobs: tracking straight in the wind, lifting a long line off the water for a quick recast, and controlling the fish once it is hooked.
The power is concentrated in the bottom half of the rod, with a slightly firmer tip that helps prevent tailing loops and picks line up cleanly. It shares Conduit Core, the GL7 resin system and Multi-Taper Design with the freshwater IMX-PRO V2, and adds Fuji tangle-free K-frame stripping guides, chrome snake guides, a full wells premium cork grip and a custom aluminum up-locking reel seat with a fighting butt. All seven models are 9', 4-piece and fast action, from 6 to 12 wt, and we carry all seven.
