Overview

The Redington Original Kit bridges old school and new school: a medium-fast rod with a brown blank and a heritage look, set up as a complete grab-and-go outfit. Redington launched the Original in 2023, and we carry the All Water Kit, a 9' 8 wt built for bigger fish in fresh and salt water.

The rod is easy to cast, with an anodized aluminum reel seat and a fighting butt for leverage on strong fish. It comes matched with a Crosswater reel with a carbon disc drag, backing, a RIO Mainstream line with a slightly heavier, shorter head for easy casting and cutting through wind, and a RIO tapered leader, all in a nylon case that holds the rod and reel together.
