Overview
The Patagonia Men's Swiftcurrent® Traverse Zip-Front Waders are the Swiftcurrent for anglers who walk to their water. At 1,250 g they weigh about 300 g less than the Expedition Zip Front, so they pack small, hike well and still hold up to a full season of wading. The shell is 4-layer, 5.6-oz H2No® Performance Standard fabric made from 100% recycled material, and a waterproof YKK® front zipper makes layering and bathroom breaks easy.
Traverse or Expedition? Pick the Traverse if you hike in, fish spring through fall or want a lighter wader in the boat. Step up to the Swiftcurrent Expedition Zip Front if you wade cold water all winter, kneel on rock or push through brush, since its lower legs use a heavier 9.4-oz fabric.
Patagonia repatterned the Traverse with a gusseted crotch and articulated seat and legs for less seam stress and easier repairs, plus heavy-duty scuff guards and lower-volume booties that fit like a sock inside your wading boots. A top-hem drawcord and the included Secure Stretch wading belt drop it to waist-high when it warms up.
