The Patagonia Black Hole® Duffel 40L is a weather- and abrasion-resistant workhorse, offered here in Black. It delivers the legendary performance of the Black Hole line with 100% recycled body fabric, lining and webbing, and a pioneering recycled TPU-film laminate with a sleek matte finish.

The 40L is perfect for small loads and long weekends, and it meets most airline and train carry-on requirements.

Padded, removable shoulder straps let you carry the duffel like a backpack, and reinforced haul handles withstand overzealous baggage handlers. A zippered side pocket can be reached from the outside or inside of the bag, and when empty the duffel stuffs into that pocket for compact storage. An interior mesh lid pocket keeps essentials close, a padded base protects contents from rough terrain and hard knocks, and reinforced exterior daisy chains provide lashing options for extra gear.
