Description

Overview

The Orvis Helios F is the finesse side of Orvis's flagship Helios family, built in Manchester, Vermont. F stands for Finesse: Orvis designed it for ultimate sensitivity, delicate presentations and tippet protection, for the game-of-inches feeding-lane presentations and in-the-moment mends that technical trout fishing demands.

The current Helios launched in 2024 as the fourth generation of the series. The F is a medium-fast rod that flexes into the mid section with strong feedback, light in hand, with touch for mending and roll casting and enough power in the butt for distance or wind. It has a matte olive blank, titanium guides, and an anodized aluminum reel seat with a burled wood insert on the trout models. The 10' and 11' 3 wt models are Orvis's tactical nymphing rods.
