The Griffin Montana Mongoose is our best-selling fly tying vise, and the one we suggest most often to tyers ready for a real rotary vise. Its cam-lever jaws clamp a hook with one motion, and the heat-treated steel and stainless jaws hold hooks from #28 up to 4/0, so it handles midges, trout flies, streamers and light saltwater patterns.

It is a true 360° rotary vise. A rotation lock screw and a fine tension screw let you set exactly how freely the head turns, the Delrin bearing block keeps rotation smooth, and an extension handle gives you a longer crank when you want it. The cam lever locks forward or back to keep it out of your way while you tie.
