Description
Overview
The Galvan Rush LT is Galvan's mid-priced workhorse, built to take a beating and keep working. It uses the same smooth drag as the Galvan Torque, with low start-up inertia that protects light tippets, in a lighter, simpler package with Galvan's open-back tri-spoke frame. Galvan kept the machining and handwork down to hold the price while keeping the quality the brand is known for.
Each Rush LT is machined from T6 6061 aluminum bar stock with a large arbor for fast line pickup. Since the original Rush in 2005, it has been a favorite of guides and anglers who want one reel that lasts for years.
Which size? The 3 and 4 wt suit light trout rods, the 5 and 6 wt cover most trout water, and the 8 wt handles streamers, bass and bonefish. It comes in five colors.
Compare: The Galvan Torque is the step-up model with the full Torque look, the Galvan Grip is built for big fish and saltwater, and the Galvan Brookie is a small reel for light rods.

- Machined from T6 solid bar stock, aircraft grade aluminum. T6 is a class of 6061 aluminum that is tempered to significantly increase its strength
- L.A.D. stands for Large Arbor Design.
- Low inertia on startup is intended to save light tippets, relative to the size of the outfit you are using and the size fish you are hunting.
- Galvan microTune drag adjustment enables quick, precise adjustments to your drag when playing a hot fish.
- The Galvan push button spool release mechanism is intuitively simplistic and elegantly efficient.
- The Torque drag system is the backbone of the Galvan line of reels and widely recognized for its smooth reliable action and subdued, unobtrusive single pawl click.
- Our contoured, machined counter-balance weights add a nice accent to the reel’s design and blend aesthetically with its symmetry. Functionally the weight of the counter-balance is perfectly measured to precisely match the weight of the handle for smooth spool retrieval and wobble-free rotation.
- All of our reels and spools are Type T2 anodized and incorporate minimal material points of contact making them corrosion resistant and saltwater safe.
